Three windows, wolves, summits!
Another week full of interesting moments is over, so it would be a sin not to share that all with you. Puppies are growing so fast that there is fortunately no more risk that they will fall in our toilet again, new yaks are being born almost every day, so, here we go.
Lets begin with the nature, which is present here almost everywhere. And as the continual warming coming, it is very well seen, sometimes also heard, more and more often. We are over 4000 meters above the sea level, however, you can witness many different kinds of animals. It is more probable that you come across the herd of Ibexes, which look similarly to our czech deer. Incidentally, within my trip to the mountain, I was lucky to see one of those families, having enjoyed new grass. In terms of the visibility there was no problem at all because they are not hunt so... only from few meters. So beautiful that beast! There would be lots of hunters burst out by envyousness that they would maybe fell down from their observatory.
In these mountain you can meet with snow leopard, fox, ant, yetti, sea horse...last week was definitely called as the week of hungry wolf.
For local farmers they are quite a serious issue because they eat their sheep and sometimes also yaks. Many years ago, farmers from three villages united to build a big round trap that looks like the Colosseum in Rome. Both used for fights. Fights with a strange plot. Instead of gladiator facing to another gladiator, here, very scary sheep with trembeling hoof. Fate is known in advance. Wolf wins everytime. But only till the time he calls villagers by his weave. They kill him with no mercy by stones and bury into the ground. I witnessed that horrible moment even two times in a row. I have to say, on the other hand, there is no wonder, villagers simply protect their property...
Window. So many meanings coming upon the surface of mind. One by one. Our one, big, through which flow strong rays of hymalaian sun every day and temperature rises up to 30oC have had a tough time. Pyru was the first, who recognized zero lay of paint from inside on that. Me and our great schoolkeeper Lopsang recognized only the brush in her hand so she was about to finish that only by herself so we had to find some other job. I do not know how is that possible, whether she feels lack of working activity, whether she is frustrated by not using paint ( varnish ) for a longer period of time or by having been in the paint odour for three days, simply the window shins with beauty. Sometimes I have a problem to have a look outside on the mountain finding my sight sticked on that bright. Really good job! So this window is without any problem.
But, that smashed one in Dorje´s house is not ok at all. What more, I have even "window" how that all happened. The only thing I quite well remember is that somewhere there was Dorje, Pyru, arak, Tops... hmmm ... strange, I have no clue...
Who knows me and my 300km-long rides on the bike in one day can easily imagine how much fill me up the challanges related to the reaching of local, over 5000m above the sea level high, summits. I have already climbed almost all of them, now, waiting for the snow melts away from the highest.
The river of endorfins flows through the adrenalin landscape with satisfaction, where towards happiness is not that far...
Next week one interesting event starts, so you have really what to looking forward from Pyru side! Now, just to take a good book to one hand, ginger tea holding in the second, make fire in the stove looking forward to having even better days onwards...
Have a great time,
Pepa (Joe, Joseph)
